Some blame it on the storm – others blame it on the intimidating stairs – but we never made it down to the Blue Gums Forest in the Grose Valley.

We had a team huddle and decided to change our meticulously planned Blue gums walk overnight bushwalk to two day walks and a nice dry sleep at Helen and Lester’s place in Oberon.

Cliff Top Walk

We only completed the Cliff top walk from Govetts Leap to Evan’s Look Out (3km each way) before storm rumbling and stiff knee inducing stairs scared us away from the Grose Valley. Pretty spectacular views though!

Glow Worm Tunnel

The tunnel was incredible! The beautiful drive out to the Tunnel goes through Newnes State Forest and Garden’s of Stone National Park – the Pagodas were spectacular!

Ten out of ten – would recommend.
